Do you ever feel a little bit… average?

This was the case for Elizabeth. She was was a Midlands girl, born and bred in Northampton. But she always dreamed of more exotic connections – of immersing herself in the rich culture of Spain or exploring the beautiful and historic Amalfi coast.

When Elizabeth took the AncestryDNA test*, she never expected to discover that her connection to these countries was a lot closer than she ever expected.

This is the moment Elizabeth learned that she actually hails from all corners of the globe.

The list of places in Elizabeth’s AncestryDNA results included Italy, Greece, Finland, Russia, Ireland and the Middle East.

“I feel like I’ve got a lot to explore,” Elizabeth said, after receiving her results. “I find it really exciting to think that that’s all there, and that you can find all this out from a DNA test.”

There were a couple of places that Elizabeth was particularly excited to see in her AncestryDNA ethnicity estimate.

“There’s something about Italy that has always appealed,” she said. “The culture, the food and the beauty. And I really love that whole Russian spirit and listening to Tchaikovsky – my father’s a musician and I’ve always loved that deep soulful Russian music.

“There’s something in me that has always felt attracted to these things, and it’s just exciting to know that it’s in me.”

Thank you for sharing! I have worked at or volunteered for a number of places that have very low budgets for art supplies and it is frustrating to keep coming up with ideas that are free or close to it. Your ideas are fun to learn with and make art supplies with what you have in the kitchen. So smart! Your ideas also re-energize me to come up with new and fun activities!
