This year is a big year for London Metropolitan Archive who are celebrating their 950th anniversary. To mark this milestone and to reflect on our on-going partnership with the LMA family, we headed to the London Metropolitan Archives’ headquarters to host our first ever Facebook Live event.
We brought together Ancestry spokesperson, Russell James, LMA director, Geoff Pick and beloved London local, Sir Tony Robinson to discuss London’s history and the incredible heritage that exists between its city walls. You can watch the full Facebook live stream below.
Since our partnership with the LMA began, we have been working together to help connect Ancestry users not only with their ancestors but with the capital city their family called home. Collections currently available on Ancestry include everything from School Admissions and Discharge Lists through to Gameskeepers’ Licenses and Electoral Registers.
